Description:

The Juniata Women’s Basketball Youth Day Camp is a girls 3rd grade – 8th grade camp, where campers will learn and develop fundamentals of the game in shooting, ball handling, passing, defense, rebounding, and teamwork in a fun and positive learning environment. They will receive one-on-one instruction from the Juniata Women’s Basketball staff and players. Campers will also have a chance to play in some competition drills and be given a camp t-shirt. Campers should bring their own lunch except on the 3rd day of camp we will eat lunch in Baker Refectory.

Registration: 8:30 am – Gibbel Lobby, Kennedy Sports and Recreation Center

Daily Camp: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Sample Day Itinerary:

  • 8:30 – 9 a.m. Check-in
  • 9 – 9:10 a.m. Coach Young and Coach Abby comments for the day
  • 9:10 – 9:20 a.m. Stretching
  • 9:20 – 11:50 a.m. Station Work (shooting, finishing, ball handling, passing, defense, or rebounding)
  • 12 p.m. Lunch
  • 12:30 – 2:50 p.m. Competition Games
  • 2:50 – 3 p.m. Wrap up
  • 3 p.m. Pick up
